The base is located right on the Salmon River, just 35 miles from the town of Salmon, Idaho. Your adventure includes two and a half days of pure excitement set in beautiful and remote mountains, far away from civilization. Trained and experienced guides take you safely through turbulent eddies, roaring holes, and crashing white water. As you travel down the Salmon River in rafts and kayaks, the mountains and cliffs tower over you, offering an experience you will always treasure. The evenings are filled with other activities, including archery, gold mine tours, campfires, rappelling, and even an Honor Trail. The Whitewater Merit Badge is offered. The C.O.P.E. Course offers exciting challenges and obstacles for everyone to try.
Don't worry about the food, it is provided and cooked for you at base camp. Lodging is provided in teepees and tents, but you must bring your own bedding. All river equipment is also provided.
The three-day sessions for the 2010 Season run from June 21 to July 31 (Extra sessions depending on water levels). You may choose either a Monday - Wednesday session, or a Thursday - Saturday session.
If necessary, arrangements can be made with the Camp Director to come the evening before.
For an extra fee of $6.00 per person, you can enjoy breakfast at camp the following morning.
Requirements:
- Be 14 years of age or older,
- Be registered with the Boy Scouts of America,
- Be in good physical condition,
- Pass a swim test prior to camp,
- Pay a non-refundable $50 deposit to sign up, (Part of the full fee)
- Have a current Health Form with a Dr visit within the last year.
- Leaders must complete Safe Swim Afloat and Safe Swim Defense Trainings. (These can now be complete on-line, direct from our website)

This fee is required 4 weeks prior to camp. However, a $10 discount is given if all fees are paid by May 15, 2010. To avoid confusion, the fees must be paid to the Council by the unit leader, not by individual participants.
Council Policy pertaining to refunds states that the deposit cannot be refunded. None of the fee is refundlable less than 7 days before the start of the session you are signed up for (unless for a major medical emergency). Please make sure the Participants you sign up are committed to attending in order to save money.

Any Session that does not reach 25 total participants may be canceled.
Because of the nature of the program, it is imperative for each unit to fill all the spaces that they have reserved.
