Varsity Scout "Rocker" XX Ross Park, Pocatello, Saturday,    August 22, 2009 This is the Council's premier rock climbing competition for Varsity scouts, ages 14 & 15. The climbing competition will be held on the 4th Saturday of August. This year's date is Augsut 22, 2009. The place is the "Shady Side" of Ross Park on 4th Avenue, just off the I-15 Pocatello, Idaho, South 5th St. exit. There will be two sessions. The first session will have check-in beginning at 7:00 a.m. The second session check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.. The cost, $5.00 per Varsity Scout is the same as it has been each and every year of the competition. In order to mantain this minimal cost to the boys, we must have registration and sign-up in the Council Offices by August 21, 2009. This assures that we will have sufficient equipment on hand for the competitors to use. Those who have pre-registered will have the opportunity to receive and use the equipment first. On site registration will be available with the cost of $7.00 per competitor and the opportunity to climb will be based on equipment availability. In order to accomodate the skill levels of all Varsity Scouts, there will be three levels of competition. Beginner division - for those who have never climbed or only a time or two. Intermeditate division - Experience with five or more experiences. Experienced division - Those with quite a bit of expereince on the rocks and who have climbed in different areas. Registration forms, along with medical releases are included in the packet. Complete forms MUST BE RETURNED BY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2009  to qualify for early bird registration! Registrations received after that date will be $7.00 per entry. (Don't forget your Tour Permit)
