WELCOME TO NORTH CARIBOU DISTRICT
Roundtable for May and June 2015 will be back at the regular location, 4707 E. Iona Road, with cub scouts beginning at 7 pm and the other scouting programs beginning at 7:30 pm.
Thanks to everyone who attended Leader Position Specific training in February. In all, 32 leaders received training in specific breakouts for CORs, Scouts, Varsity, and Venturing. If you or anyone else you know are in need of Leader Position Specific training, we are tentatively planning a Cub-Specific Training for May to discuss the new program.
Mark your calendars for May 1-2, when the North Caribou Spring Camporee will be held at Scout Hollow in Rigby. Registration will start at 4:30 pm--don't forget your tour plans, permission slips, and physical forms. We will be working on the Scouting Heritage Merit Badge, and the $5/per boy cost will include something very special to help them with that. For more information, check our FLYER or contact Rob Johnson.
CUB SCOUTS -- START PLANNING AHEAD!

DISTRICT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Our District is in need of volunteers to fill several positions. Anyone within the boundaries is welcome to volunteer. Currently we are seeking a new Webmaster and additional Roundtable staff. If you are interested in volunteering, please email email@example.com to inquire. Thank you for all you do for each other and most importantly, for the boys we serve.
NEW NORTH CARIBOU FACEBOOK GROUP
We have a brand new Facebook Group for our District to share ideas, files and documents, success stories, and ask questions. Come join our group!
FRIENDS OF SCOUTING
Here is a list of companies who will match Friends of Scouting employee donations and some will even give financial contributions for employees who volunteer their time.
The Bonneville County Emergency Management Facebook page has many opportunities for youth involvement. FEMA is accepting Youth Preparedness Council Applications. Please check out their Facebook page for other Emergency Management updates and information including a 2014 Preparedness Calendar.
SCOUTStrong PALA CHALLENGE
The BSA is introducing a new healthy lifestyle program called SCOUTStrong Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) Challenge. You will notice this challenge is one of the items on the Journey to Excellence Scorecard for 2014 as well. This program is an ongoing program focusing on fitness and healthy eating that all Scouts and their leaders can participate in and earn. It requires a physical activity commitment for eight weeks and to set and meet healthy eating awards. For more information on rolling this program out in your unit, please click HERE.
