DISTRICT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Our District is in need of volunteers to fill several positions. Anyone within the boundaries is welcome to volunteer. Currently we are seeking a new Webmaster and additional Roundtable staff. If you are interested in volunteering, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire. Thank you for all you do for each other and most importantly, for the boys we serve.
The Fall Camporee will be September 12-13 at Beaver Dick Park. The focus will be the Aviation Merit Badge and will include a tour of the Legacy Flight Museum, Fly Over, Campfire Program, and Awards. The cost is $6 per boy, no charge for adults. For more information click here.
IDAHO FALLS POLICE MERIT BADGE
Come join your Idaho Falls Police Officers for a Merit Badge Pow Wow August 16th 8:30am until 4:30pm. The cost is $10 per scout to cover two merit badges and lunch. Register and pay online at www.idahofallsfop.com. For more information click here.
SCOUT NIGHT OUT WITH THE CHUKARS
Have a great night at the ball game with Scout Night out with the Chukars happening August 29th at 7:15pm. Get your tickets at the Scout Office. The first 50 tickets claimed will also get a free ball cap. Refer a friend to Scouting and you both get TWO tickets FREE! More information available here.
UPCOMING LEADER SPECIFIC TRAINING
Attached is the current flyer that announces our next Leader Specific Training that will be held on September 11, 2014 in Ucon. There will be training offered for ALL the families of scouting - Cub Scouts through Venturing. This is a great opportunity for your leaders to come and receive answers their questions and to help them become better scout leaders.

SCOUTStrong PALA CHALLENGE
The BSA is introducing a new healthy lifestyle program called SCOUTStrong Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) Challenge. You will notice this challenge is one of the items on the Journey to Excellence Scorecard for 2014 as well. This program is an ongoing program focusing on fitness and healthy eating that all Scouts and their leaders can participate in and earn. It requires a physical activity commitment for eight weeks and to set and meet healthy eating awards. For more information on rolling this program out in your unit, please click HERE.
